The Army has provided an update on an incident in which one person was shot during an incident at an entrance gate to Fort Riley. The military says following the March 20th incident at Trooper gate the civilian Department of the Army Security Guard, a 62-year-old male, remains assigned to administrative duties. The 22-year-old male civilian suspect who was driving the vehicle that struck the active vehicle barrier was medically released from Irwin Army Community Hospital March 21st. The Department of the Army Criminal Investigation Division’s investigation is ongoing. To protect the integrity of the investigation, no further information will be released at this time
