…WIND CHILL WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO
NOON CST FRIDAY…
* WHAT…For the Winter Storm Warning, snow with near blizzard
conditons expected. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches
with wind gusts as high as 45 mph. For the Wind Chill Warning,
dangerously cold wind chills expected. Wind chills as low as 40
below zero.
* WHERE…Portions of central, east central, north central and
northeast Kansas.
* WHEN…For the Winter Storm Warning, from 6 PM this evening to
midnight CST Thursday night. For the Wind Chill Warning, from
midnight tonight to noon CST Friday.
* IMPACTS…Plan on slippery road conditions. Patchy blowing snow
could significantly reduce visibility with near blizzard
conditions at times. The hazardous conditions will impact the
morning or evening commute. The dangerously cold wind chills
could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10
minutes.
